For example, no offense to Brigitte Gabriel, but, in our right minds, using caution, we can appropriately say the following to ourselves: “OK, Ms. Gabriel, you seem on the mark for America and against radical Islam. However, you are from Lebanon and, although you indicated you were seriously abused there while seeing most of your friends killed by radical Islamists, you were in fact raised in an Islamic world. It is conceivable you are a mole of some kind, quietly working for Islam using Stealth Jihad, the very jihad you warn Americans about. We will take what is usable from your information and insights, hope for the best about your integrity and true purpose, but we will maintain our objectivity, and will continue to ask questions and to apply discernment.” By extension, in researching any other writer and activist, we might discover yet other activists have run into some problems or voiced concerns about them; we might learn one of them was raised in a strict high profile Catholic family with a particularly strong bias toward Catholic approaches to Christianity; we might learn another one has had an ongoing alcohol abuse problem. We might decide yet another activist has good information and insights, but the biases toward Israel are so strong as to almost be non-digestible (like overly strong garlic). In yet another Jewish activist we might pick up hints of money shystering alongside equally good information and insights. We also might find that yet another activist-gone-conservative has deeply buried proclivities for the left even while disclaiming its evils, possibly to cover up and put distance from an old unresolved violent crime of a colleague which was never fully disclosed to the public. In summary, the Acknowledgments here are to indicate certain of the individual’s works have been carefully reviewed in some areas and have been deemed useful at least up to a point; it does not mean I completely rely on or trust them as my soul source of information, nor should you. Looking briefly at Brigitte Gabriel’s They Must Be Stopped, Chapter One entitled “Islam 101”, pages 16-23, here are a few key points: Islam has three main books or written resources which provide the mental framework, ideology, politics, direction, energetic and willful drive toward actualization/manifestation, disciplinary approach, world view, and self-justification 1. Koran 2. Hadith 3. Sharia Law The Koran The Koran is the book that Mohammed wrote in the early 600s, a long time ago. Notice this is about 600 years after Jesus. This book is thick with many chapters. One important thing to note is there was an earlier, more peaceful version than the one that has become the emphasis. Thus there was a less violent sounding Mohammed early on, and a much more violent one later. The violent part is the one Islamic groups use today to justify war on the world of non-believers. Areas of Interest: Mount Hira. Mecca, the Kaaba Mohammed is one of those prophets who indicated he had a major vision on a mountain which included a light or some kind of energy (in this case, explosion). This should be reminiscent of things you read about in the Christian and earlier Hebrew texts. If people are going to have a vision, have it on a high-up place where seen is a fire, burning bush, ball of light or explosion (possibly with light flashing), associated with mystical words that are written right then in rock, or to be written down, from some being or God himself. In this sense, we can inquire into the historical roots of a prophetic tradition. Mohammed was born in Mecca. Mohammed’s visionary mountain was apparently Mount Hira. Apparently he was visited by Angel Gabriel and told what to write down; this occurred intermittently over a three year period. The resulting work is the Koran. Mecca was important because of its location midway along the Arabian peninsula and for having an ancient black rock used by earlier types of religious devotees who believed in more than one god at the time. The rock then became a pilgrimage rock for Muslims. (p. 16) Five Tenets or Pillars: Iman, Salat, Zakat, Sawm, Haj Resembling the fingers on one hand, the “five” links key concepts from the Koran to applications in the daily lives of Muslims. Note from PF: To most Americans or westerners, a first look at such words might seem strange, daunting or perhaps even interesting. It seems one thing we should keep in mind is the words are part of a list of prescribed activities. The second thing is make the correlation of a specialized language to differentiate us from them. The association with the words themselves helps with identification, cohesiveness, spiritual importance and an almost mystical aspect. It is like the words take on special meanings and stir a set of feelings - beyond just the simple definitions listed here. That is, Americans will likely be missing additional nuances even though they might catch the basic drift. Islam is known as Shahadah 1. Iman - Profession of Faith This is the one-God, monotheistic, uniqueness But it takes it a step further. It is the one- God, Mohammed aspect, as well. Here’s what they are saying: Allah is the greatest. There is no God but Allah and Mohammed is his Prophet. Note from PF: The Mohammed aspect is the one critical thing that sets Muslims apart from being Christians or Jews who are also one-God types. The Mohammed aspect channels the spiritual toward the violent. (p. 18) 2. Salat - Prayer Again, we have five - five prayers per day. Must be done diligently, no distractions, put everything else aside. They can do it alone or in a group, must face Mecca. “They reconfirm themselves and submit to Allah in everything. Arabic is the tongue of the Koran to cite prayers. Note from PF: there have been signs that Muslims are using prayers, along with food requirements, to receive privileges that other inmates do not get in prisons; in addition, clergy sent in to cater to Islamic beliefs can be tricky in a variety of ways. Seeing Muslims pray can seem impressive and mystical to western and other onlookers. Just keep in mind there is another side to this peaceful aspect of their religion - the political and war side. Their form of prayer by bending and kneeling might possibly induce kundalini (qi) both as general life force and sexual energy. It might relate to ancient exercises known to induce blood flow and energy to the brain and action centers. It likely can help people focus before war and to stay one- tracked minded about things. If this same sort of activity could be directed toward life sustaining ventures all the time, throughout one’s life, it likely could have positive results for self and the planet. The energy that is charged up like a battery could be distributed toward smart happy things, not rechanneled to war and domination of others. It should then be seen as a tool, that like a gun, is as good as the person’s intent behind it. (p. 18) 3. Zakat - Giving of Alms (finances) Part of this issue links to giving to the poor a specific portion of one’s income. So there is a charity aspect required from those who have enough to give, but not demanded of the poor. Note from PF: there are additional, more complex issues that have shown up around the money issue as it relates to Stealth Jihad. Although it is simple enough to suggest Muslims believe money is God’s, when jihadists are dealing with money of Americans, westerners or any non-Muslims, things can get very tricky. Their basic rule of war is to lay waste, to get Americans and others to spend all their money on foolish things so they go bankrupt, or to use the money in such a way it goes to Muslims and their allies. This can include messing with banks, getting control of the ropes, and also how money is spent, like on weapons that go to American enemies. There seems to be even more to it, but this gives us a general feeling where they are coming from and where they are going with money issues. A One World Order would have Islam in your banking and credit card accounts, watching your expenses and making judgments on what you buy. 4. Sawm - Fasting Key word is Ramadan Not only fasting, but Ramadan. Basically they are abstaining from material things including food and sex for the majority of each day (dawn until sundown), for a month. Note from PF: Where things get tricky is when they try to use Ramadan to pressure western countries to do their bidding, like in prisons or on the public forum. Some examples recently are public prayers over broadcast systems in at least England and Minnesota. As mentioned elsewhere, this can be a form of turfing and supplanting. (p. 19) 5. Hajj Pilgrimage - to Mecca, the black rock’s shrine of Kaaba, once a lifetime during the twelfth month of the year (p. 19) The Hadith The Hadith is like a biography of Mohammed - what his followers wrote about him. Here is what Brigitte Gabriel says: The Hadith is the accompanying book of the Koran, from which Muslims derive spiritual nourishment and daily guidance for life. The Hadith is a written record of the oral traditions, passed down from Muslim to Muslim, about the Prophet Mohammed’s life, actions and deeds. The Hadith is a record of what the prophet was supposed to have said and done and is second in authority only to the Koran. (p. 20) Sharia Law Sharia Law is the aspect which attempts to bring a prescription for induced order to society from the Islamic material found in the two books, the Koran and Hadith. The prescription becomes a proscription, however, in that order becomes forced into a narrow channel of accepted behaviors, speech, religious beliefs, dress and more. One of the most obvious problems are the blasphemy laws under sharia, which not only curb free speech but can impose other problems in the process, like the infiltration of the media, politics and legal systems by Islamic groups in order to exact sharia on often unsuspecting or resistant people. According to Brigitte Gabriel: An additional body of text vital to Islam is Sharia, the Islamic holy law. Sharia is an Arabic word meaning “way.” Islamic jurists gave this name to a set of laws to govern and guide Islamic believers. The Sharia spells out an obligatory set of rules, [supposedly] designated by God the supreme legislator, to be followed and obeyed. Sharia law discusses in detail rules governing marriage, divorce, child rearing, interpersonal relationships, food, clothing, hygiene, prayer and even commercial and criminal law. These rules are meant to help Islamic believers live and maintain a harmonious society. (Gabriel, They Must Be Stopped, p. 20). Two good places to start one’s introduction or review of Sharia Law: Brigitte Gabriel (2008) They Must Be Stopped: Why We Must Defeat Radical Islam and How We Can Do It John Guandolo’s book and resources relating to Sharia Law (2019) Islam's Deception: The Truth About Sharia. By Helena Smith https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/jan/10/historic-step-greek-pm-hails-change-to- limit-power-of-sharia-law Excerpt: PM welcomes legislation allowing them to opt for Greece’s secular legal system instead of Islamic law to resolve divorce, child custody and inheritance matters…Members of Greece’s Muslim minority have hailed new legislation that will enable citizens to sidestep sharia law in family disputes, but says the measure fails to go far enough in Europe’s only country where Islamic jurists still hold sway…In a move described as a “historic step” by the prime minister, Alexis Tsipras, the leftist-led government announced on Tuesday that members of Greece’s 120,000-strong Muslim community would be able to seek recourse in Greek courts in divorce, child custody and inheritance matters rather than take their case to Islamic jurists – a century-old legacy of legislation drafted with the collapse of the Ottoman empire. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/jan/10/historic-step-greek-pm-hails-change-to- limit-power-of-sharia-law Here are yet other resources, to provide a variety of input, but without certainty as to their character or whether unfortunate biases are present in them: Introductory Books in English An Introduction to Islamic Law by Joseph Schacht An introduction to Islamic law by Wael B. Hallaq A history of Islamic law by N.J. Coulson Between God and the sultan : a history of Islamic law by Knut Vikør Islamic law : from historical foundations to contemporary practice by Mawil Izzi Dien Jihad “Calling for jihad against the infidels.” Many Westerners have either never heard this term jihad, or they don’t really understand what it means. “What makes Islam different is its call to kill and subjugate all other members of other faiths. The terrorists of today as well as imams in mosques are calling for the death of millions of people around the world in the name of Islam. (Gabriel, They Must Be Stopped, p. 20) …We must learn about Jihad by examining history, not by listening to the Council on American Relations or Islamic talking heads on television”(p. 22) See also: Jihad Attacks/Serious Incidents (below in Why We Fight Islamic Extremism) Dar Al Islam In Islam’s view, the world and mankind are divided in two irreconcilable groups:Dar Al Islam, the house of Islam versus and Dar Al Harb, the house of war, made up of non-Muslims, a place of non-believers, something Muslims feels Dar Al Harb is justified to war against. The other is the thing they battle until all otherness is subsumed. (p. 22 with some paraphrasing by PF) Umma an Arabic word meaning "community". ... Thus, it can be said to be a supra-national community with a common history. It is a synonym for ummat al-Islām 'the Islamic community'), and it is commonly used to mean the collective community of Islamic people. --Wikipedia Dawa Dawa is a certain category of proselytizing, but is taken to the level of force combined with indoctrination. It is heavy-handed. Combined with sharia law, which comes from books, dawa is the action side of conversion of so-called heathens or infidels. Where law might provide the mental aspect, dawa is the spur of will and passion. In practice, where such non-Muslims refuse to convert, there is oppression, suppression and violence. However, there seems to be more to it than this, in that perhaps they are trying to shift reality around and inside the person to the point one no longer doubts or questions the Islamic world view or approach. See John Guandolo’s (Understanding the Threat) excellent material on Dawa here: https: //www understandingthethreat com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Methodology-of-Dawah pdf Ayaan Hirsi Ali Hoover Institution 2017/07/12 recorded; 2017/08/03 Ayaan Hirsi Ali on the West, Dawa, and Islam https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bx2hEc7Dlcg Excerpt: Ayaan Hirsi Ali joins Peter Robinson to discuss her new book, The Challenge of Dawa: Political Islam as Ideology and Movement and How to Contain It, and her views on the challenges facing Western civilization in regards to political Islam. She argues that Islam needs to be separated into two different parts, one part of religion and the other part, political philosophy. She concedes that many aspects of the religious part of Islam are peaceful but argues that the political side is much more concerning due to its focus on Dawa, which means “to plead or to call non-Muslims to Islam.” This call to convert people to Islam is what she argues was a driving force behind the spread of Islam throughout history. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bx2hEc7Dlcg REASONS TO FIGHT ISLAMIC RADICALISM Fatwa Definition of fatwa: a ruling on a point of Islamic law given by a recognized authority. Example: A fatwa was issued on Pamela Geller, which is a death wish. It means Islamic followers are given the directive by an Islamic religious leader to go after her and murder her. In addition, they call her things like “pig” and send hateful, sexually malicious and violent letters. She provided a copy of the fatwa and the hateful letters she has received by Islamic radicals in her book Fatwa. Clitorodectomies NCBI 2018/07/10 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6079349/#sec1title Female circumcision (FC) or female genital mutilation (FGM) describes practices that manipulate, alter, or remove the external genital organs in young girls and women . The procedure is performed using a blade or shard of glass by a religious leader, town elder, or a medical professional with limited training. In about 15% of cases, infibulation, the most severe form of FGM, involves the removal of the labia and the suturing together of the vulva; this practice may place the victim's life at risk. In contrast to male circumcision, the procedure produces no known health benefits and is not performed for medical reasons. FGM is widely recognized as a procedure that violates a person's human rights, as well as increasing their risk for health complications . The aim of the present study was to compare literature sources regarding the practice and negative outcomes of FGM as well as explore the phenomena perpetuating the custom. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6079349/#sec1title Amputations While American military persons have been overseas in places like Iraq, they have found living and deceased signs of amputations, often delivered by Islamic groups during torture sessions of victims. One story shows American personnel finding one dead man and one in the middle of being amputated, part of his leg removed, he was emaciated and tied down. The Islamic groups use electric saws, for one thing. Honor Killings “Honor killing is a grim reality that is largely ignored, and girls are suffering as a result. Muslim fathers kill their daughters for real or imagined sexual indiscretions that have supposedly dishonored the family” (Geller, Fatwa, p. 113) “ Muslims are responsible for 91% of honor killings worldwide. Islamic law specifies that “retaliation is obligatory against anyone who iills a human being purely intentionally and without right” not “not subject to retaliation” is a “father or mother (or their fothers or mothers) for killing their offspring, or offspring’s offspring. Muslims who kill their children are not subject to the penalty of murder, and Jordan, Syria and several othe Muslim countries have reduced penalties for honor killings.” (Geller, Fatwa, p. 36) In other words, it is about the murder of females who try to fight or become more liberated. There is no honor in the honor killings; the honor part is how Islam slants it, not how the American or other western groups consider it; it usually at the hands of fathers, brothers or other elders in a Muslim family. There is a tone to the article which might suggest a bias. Won’t be repeated here. Wikipedia has a list of diverse resources on the subject. The Orlando Sentinel, along with Meredith Heagney of the Columbus Dispatch, Michael Kruse of the St. Petersburg Times, among others, consistently filed anti-Rifqa stories, actively attacking Rifqa and working hard to smear and discredit her - in submission to Hamas-CAIR and sharia….In July 2014 the Orlando Sentinel did a story on Rifqa…Sentinel’s Rene Stutzman reported her whereabouts, making her an easy target for devout Muslims in a town that covered up the honor killing of another Muslim woman, Fatima Abdullah. Stutzman…spun the story this way: Mohamed Bary is a doted Muslim father, intent on giving his daughter the best education he can. But he says he made a terrible mistake last October: He bought her a laptop computer.” Of Mohamed Bary’s death threat to this daughter, Stutzman wrote: “Mohamed Bary said, “I still cannot believe she would think that.” Much less known…is the campaign of intimidation that Omar Tarazi, her parents’ Islamic supremacist lawyer, continued to wage after her case was over…” (Geller, Fatwa, pp. 33- 34) Jessica Mokdad Jessica Mokdad was a 20-year-old Muslim woman in Warren, Michigan who was brutally murdered in May 2011….Jessica’s stepfather, a devout Muslim, tracked his stepdaughter over four states to murder her for bringing dishonor on her family… On April 29, I hosted the first-ever human rights conference dedicated to exposing the plight of women under Islamic law in Dearborn, Michigan. I chose the date because it was the first anniversary of the honor murder of Jessica Mokdad, a young woman in Michigan who was killed by her father. The event was titled The Jessica Mokdad Human Rights Conference (Geller, Fatwa, p. 34). Fatima Abdullah Florida Hillsborough County questionable death wounds to head (Geller p. 33) PRN Newswire 2011/05/31 https colon //www dot prnewswire dot com/news-releases/afdisioa-rally-for-justice-for-fatima-abdallah-to- call-on-tampa-police-to-reopen-case-of-her-suspicious-death-122863499.html Excerpt: TAMPA, Fla., A prominent national human rights and advocacy organization is calling upon Tampa city and Florida state officials to conduct an honest and thorough investigation into the suspicious death of Fatima Abdallah. The Florida chapter of the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI)/Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) is holding a Rally for Justice for Fatima Abdallah at 2 p.m. on June 10 at Lykes Gaslight Park in front of Tampa Police Headquarters. The Rally will include a news conference. Speakers will call upon State Attorney Mark Ober, Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn and Tampa City Council Members to recognize the numerous anomalies in the Tampa Police Department report that ruled Fatima Abdallah's death a suicide, and to open a genuine investigation into the possibility that she was murdered in an Islamic honor killing. The Tampa Police report claims that Abdallah committed suicide by repeatedly striking her head against a coffee table. AFDI/SIOA Executive Director Pamela Geller said in a statement: "The idea defies logic, belies reality." She announced that the Rally for Justice for Fatima Abdallah would feature a great deal of evidence that the Tampa Police investigation was drastically flawed, and that the Police Department and Medical Examiner ignored numerous indications that Fatima Abdallah did not commit suicide, but was brutally assaulted. Then when challenged, their explanation only exposed more inconsistencies and raised more questions. Geller also pointed out that Fatima Abdallah was "a Muslim woman shunned by her devout Muslim family for her 'shameful' divorce" – and hence a possible victim of Islamic honor killing, in which a woman who has brought "shame" to the family is murdered in order to preserve family "purity." Neighbors reported that Fatima Abdallah was abused by her family, but that they had been too frightened themselves of the abusers to report it. "We cannot and will not tolerate the covering up of honor killings in the U.S.," Geller said. "Our law enforcement authorities should be standing up against this practice. The cover-up is criminal, and we must protest the silence and complicity of Florida law enforcement. This looking the other way on honor killing is Sharia law -- if this family weren't Muslim, law enforcement would have handled this completely differently." https colon //www dot prnewswire dot com/news-releases/afdisioa-rally-for-justice-for-fatima-abdallah-to- call-on-tampa-police-to-reopen-case-of-her-suspicious-death-122863499.html Executions Example: Sunnis in Iraq: Carried out summary executions against those who oppose them or cooperated with Coalition forces and the fledgling Iraqi government. (Sasser, None Left Behind, p. 15) Beheadings By Islamic Extremists - Partial List RIP Colleen Hufford Lee Rigby Palmira Silva James Foley Alan Henning David Haines Daniel Pearl Nick Berg Steve Sotloff Herve Gourdel Buried, Burned, Drowned Alive Some material on killing people alive found in this book: Jihad!: Understanding the Threat of the Islamic State to America (Terror Jihad Reader Series) (Volume 1) July 13, 2016 by Ilana Freedman Excerpt: The savagery of the Islamic State is legendary. From the rape and murder of children and the sexual enslavement of thousands of captured women, the savage executions of gays, the murder of their own soldiers by drowning, and burning or burying them alive, IS will be remembered in history alongside Hitler, Pol Pot, and Ghengis Khan for its barbarism. Suicide Bombings Example: Sunnis in Iraq: Conducted suicide martyr bombings against police stations, schools and other public facilities Public Mass Killings These are the well known bombings of planes, public game events, concerts, etc. It also includes targeting smaller numbers in clumps all on the same day across a city, country or parts of the world so the lump sum for that day by the same or linked groups is a mass killing. Such killings make no distinction as to who gets killed, and innocent, non- combat victims, including children and the elderly are often included. People are victims just for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Anyone can be targets in this manner. Children Used, Abused, Killed Excerpt: A mother and father flying from England to the United States fill their six-month old baby’s milk bottle with explosives, turning the child into a human bomb, in hopes of killing hundred by blowing up their plane in midair. (p. 1 in Introduction, Brigitte Gabriel, They Must Be Stopped (2008). From article in Herald Sun, Aug. 14, 2006, Police Say Baby Was Decoy in Suicide Plan” by Fiona Hudson.) Human Shields In many cases, this section on Human Shields goes along with the Children Used, Abused, Killed section. It is also a type of kidnapping. Islamic extremists have been known to use children as shields. They also use women or anyone who is around at the time to put that person in front of themselves to try to get opponents not to shoot or attack the area they are in (like a building, vehicle, plane, etc.). One reason they do this with Americans and their allies is because they know Americans are required and expected to be more humane and thus to follow more ethical rules associated with warfare; Americans are not supposed to shoot unarmed, defenseless people. Making use of human shields means the attacker is not above applying any means possible for his or her own personal safety, and that other people’s human lives, including that of small children, is less important to that person than his or her own life. This mentality works alongside groups who also use suicide bombings to destroy their own life in the name of Islam. In both cases, human life becomes an expendable quantity exploited according to the situation or the particular mentality and goals of the specific Islamic extremist. Sharp-shooters among elite American forces would of course prefer to try to accurately hit the human shielder in an exposed area of his or her body, but are afraid to take the risk of mistakenly hitting the person used as a shield. Torture This section correlates with other sections involving brutal treatment of people, like being buried and burned alive, stonings and beheadings. Before their head is taken, the attackers are often cruel to their victims with words and other deeds first; in addition, whether fast or slow, the removal of the head is painful and causes emotional as well as physical anguish. Torture occurs many times in Islamic Extremist attacks on both their own and others. It has been assumed by American forces in places like Iraq that once one of theirs is kidnapped, two things will likely happen. The victim will be tortured and then killed. Few Americans are returned intact and alive. When Muslims themselves go against the grain in some way with their Islamic copatriots, they too are often tortured and killed in the worst way. Stonings Attacks on/Repression of Free Speech Both Far Left and Far Right (ie, old Nazi) Collusion and Underpinnings/Later Drops the Left, Melds Islamia with tyrannical Nationalism “Many of those who were joining and would become leading names of the Islamist movement had started out as young socialists and Nasserists. They were young, disillusioned, and looking for direction. The Gama’a provided similar ideals - patriotism, loyalty to Palestine, belief in the armed struggle against Israel - in a new, appealing packaging that included discipline, prayer, and the promise of salvation thrown in. Seemingly overnight, socialist camps were renamed after Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, the first caliph after the prophet. Across the Middle East, the left in its various shades - progressive, secular, socialist, nationalist - was being beaten into oblivion. In Egypt, it dissolved into thin air. New generations of Arabs would grow up without the chaotic but fertile plethora of political parties and ideologies that had enriched the minds of their parents.
